Safe and reliable mold pad control system

With the mold pad function of the IH04 E standard module newly launched by Bosch Rexroth, engineers can use the most common switch system. These modules have been tested and certified by DGUV and have standardized safety concepts, which can meet the general safety requirements at the lowest cost. Users can selectively combine these modules with the energy recovery function, while reducing the energy consumption of the module pad.

Through die pad technology, it can ensure that the thickness of the plate is uniform during the forming process, and avoid cracks or wrinkles on the workpiece. The IH04 E (IH04E) mold pad module newly developed by Bosch Rexroth complements the IH04 C/D upper piston standard module. IH04E is compatible with the most popular and advanced hydraulic mold pad switch system at present.
At the same time, as a control system, the mold pad module conforms to the installation requirements of hydraulic press specified in ISO 16092-3. As a "safety-related control system component", it conforms to ISO 13849-1 standard, and has the Class 4 function of PLe, which can prevent accidental drop under its own weight, prevent accidental start from the stop position, and stop the dangerous closing movement. The safe speed reduction reaches Class 3. The DGUV test certificate will greatly reduce the calculation and documentation required by engineers to prove their mechanical safety according to relevant standards.
IH04E consists of a basic module and a reversing valve, which is used to create "active" mold pad. The basic module provides reliable safety functions. Expansion modules provide pre-tensioning or sustainable energy recovery prerequisites. Additional expansion modules support differential switch switching and load sensing.
The nominal size of IH04E is NG10 to NG32, and the pump volume flow reaches 800 L/min under the working pressure of 315 bar.
Bosch Rexroth adopts the IH04 S mechanical press hydraulic overload protection system to provide additional solutions to protect the molding machine. An oil pad is set between the plunger and the machine tool. In case of failure, the load on the oil pad will be reduced. The load is only reduced after 5 milliseconds to protect the machine tool, drive and press frame in case of overload. If the plunger bears eccentric load, all connected overload protection systems will be triggered at the same time. IH04S is installed on the oil pad of the plunger or fixed at the center of the plunger and connected through the pipeline. The overload protection system also includes a compact hydraulic power unit.
